Bad Mistake

I made a bad mistake about 3 days ago. As soon as I saw the signs I should have sealed WifeOfVirge in the high security bio-hazard containment facility. I'm just too full o' the milk of human kindness. I gave her liberty and allowed the disease to spread. Now I have a sore throat and sneezes.

Since the disease is already about, there's no point in me locking myself away, is there?

Faugh--sounds miserable! I just had a cold, myself. There's always a cold going around. Ah, well. I'm sure you did the right thing anyway. WifeOfVirge probably appreciated her liberty. And, since you were nice to her while she had it, she is now honour-bound to be nice to you in return. If you play your cards right, you could probably get her to do your shopping and bring you breakfast in bed. (Or at least favour you with solicitous queries after your health.)
