A Conundrum of Finding That Which Is Not Conspicuous

It's always so hard to look for what's not,
For if it's not showing it's always forgot.
Gazing and looking to spy but a hint.
How can it just vanish from in my small print?
This quaint, puzzling stanza with six tiny rows
Is fun for what's missing, not what it shows.
